Baldy Bane Theatre Company has been commissioned by Road Safety Scotland to bring a new play to communities across the whole of Scotland this Spring.

“Better late than dead on time”

   Braco Village Hall

 Friday 17th February @ 7.30

Robert is just about to celebrate his 70th birthday but there is someone missing from his life and her absence makes the day ahead stretch out before him. Miriam, Robert’s daughter is a busy working Mum who worries about her daughter Sinead getting to school on her own so takes her in the car and this morning they have overslept! Sinead is due to give a presentation to the whole school and cannot be late and Mum needs to get to work on time too. Her son Aidan has left already and is walking to school but is very distracted by the thought of meeting up with Sheryl later and is constantly checking his phone.  Will they all make it on time and how will Robert get through today?

Find out what happens to this ordinary family on this extraordinary day.

Mairi Blair, Assistant Director, Road Safety Scotland said, “In the road environment, pedestrians and drivers can be affected by the same road safety issues, no matter the age. Baldy Bane Theatre Company has, once again, developed a wonderfully funny, and incredibly thought-provoking and stimulating play to engage the whole community. Don’t miss out!”

Baldy Bane Theatre is a Glasgow-based company which has been touring productions to schools and communities throughout Scotland for over twenty years. It works with many local government agencies to produce theatre in education projects to highlight issues which affect people across all age groups.
